So... the Boston Red Sox invaded Phoenix this weekend, and invaded is the most accurate word possible. They took two of three, stole game 2 in extra innings, slammed the Diamondbacks in game 1, and while they were at it, the fans set an all-time attendance record for Chase Field. Mind you... Chase Field hosted one of the greatest World Series ever, and there were more people here for this than there were for that.
The Sox fans to Diamondbacks ratio was at least 85/15, and that's being nice. On Friday for Game 1, it might've been 98/2. It was insane. The radio guys and all the Diamondbacks fans who are regulars were obviously freaked out.
But, the moral of the story is that this was an AWESOME weekend. Rachel the editor lady and I, along with friends who had flown in from Beantown, caught the entire series and reminded me of why I love baseball so much.
I like going to DBacks games and rooting them on, but, man, this ruled.
That is all.
