I have to say that Pearl Jam melted my face off last night.

I feel like I didn't even need to see them in Hartford. That's how crazy last night was.

I know, that Sean Penn guy is such an ******* for helping those people in Haiti.

Seriously, though, Ed's crack about the Bruins not carrying their weight in the banner department was the first thing anyone's said about the Bruins that made me smile in a week.

You guys can walk around the office singing "Still the One" after a show like that. I only hope I get two shows near that good Thursday and Friday.

yeah, i laughed at the Bruins-dig myself...

eddie said some pretty cool stuff about mike mccready and that was nice... and speaking of haiti, it looks likestone gossard has been living there because for a man who was already skinny, he lost about 15 more pounds... damn... i loved how he suddenly looks like he is having the most fun in the band...

another amazing set-list... wow...

something tells me, Liebzz my friend, the band will somehow come up with something special for the two nyc gigs- especially with the construction plans you mentioned pending...

be it special guests, crazy-long nights, odd-ball set-lists (though it would be hard to top the Philly nights and the last two shows...) but they have a day or two off and you should be in for some special nights coming up...

Let's hope so. Yeah, I made it to the last Philly show last year and it was complete insanity. I don't expect to top 3 hours and 45 minutes from that Halloween night, but I think they will be good.

I was thinking of taking at least this tour off due to that show, but once I saw the Garden listed there, I couldn't resist.

In any event, I should say I usually don't have any requests at the shows anymore, and really just wish for a great show...but I really want to hear Oceans. It's been 14 years and 17 shows, and I still haven't heard it (it is honestly in my top 5 all time favorite pearl jam songs with Evolution, Alive, In My Tree, and Smile). Maybe, just maybe, this time they will finally play it. (As a side note, I have missed Oceans by one show more than once).

regarding the show in Boston, i was somewhat surprised with eddie's guitar playing... he and the band had a mix-up prior to playing 'in my tree' and then eddie nodded 'oh yeah, you're right..." and put the guitar down- then they played it...

he played the intro to 'sad' and would completely stop playing his guitar at various points- same with 'rearviewmirror'...

no big deal either way, just curious about that...
