I received an email over the weekend noting that my pre-order of the new Wilco record (double vinyl!) has already shipped. I'll definitely be checking out the live Guided By Voices set, too.

Well, we're a day or so away from me being able to start some serious, sleep-depriving work on getting this place back up and running. In the meantime, I've also set up an "oh crap, where are we?" placeholder on the main page.
Also, if you're looking to save a quick link to this wonderful, magical message board, there's a new easy-to-remember URL for it now, just in time for the holidays:
The old link, however, still works if you want to keep using it.
Also, if you want to tell any of your friends about the most awesome music community that would like to grow leaps and bounds, please, don't hesitate. The more folks we have here, the merrier it is for everyone.
Thanks, folks. This week's new releases will be up in a day or so, and hopefully our copy of the new Wilco record will be here by then, too.

Nick learned a new interweb language to post that "oh crap, where are we" front page. My goodness do we need dreamweaver!
Also, please make fun of him for learning programming languages. I don't have the heart to do it to his face.
Thanks!

What is wrong with the world?!?! The only one of those new releases I've even heard of is the Cary Brothers.
Does anyone know the others? Am I just hopelessly out of date? Or was this just a ****ty week in the music release world?

Richard Thompson is a bad-ass guitarist who used to be in Fairport Convention in the 70s. And Perry Farrell is the former lead singer of Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros, but his record since the mid 90s has been... um... spotty. Let's call it spotty.
Oh! And Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is the guitarist from the Mars Volta! Honey!
