Hahaha, this is like when Cee was trying desperately to understand Timmy.
And dtrain, yesterday's game against the Flyers did nothing for you? Also, in that Dallas game, don't forget Boston was winning at the time. I know because I've downloaded it and watched it a thousand times and it's awesome and I love fights and guys sticking up for one another. It's what they should do. But at that point in the Pittsburgh game, it wasn't the proper time. Blame the instigator penalty on that (starting a fight in the final five minutes is an automatic, and would've essentially guaranteed the loss). When you're four weeks away from the playoffs and on the bubble, two points cannot be damned.
So, Thursday, may the bloodening be grand. Here's hoping Chara and Thornton tag-team that piece of ****.

ok, we've reached some common-ground... you do agree there is a need for retribution but where we disagree is when the right time is...
i say this:
if the Bruins miss the playoffs by 1 point and this one point could have been attained in the game against pittsburgh but instead they decided to retaliate because their best player's season was ended by a cheap-shot, do they really belong in he playoffs?
using this logic, shouldn't they instead look back to mailing it in against the Canadiens on the 1st game back from the Olympic break and say that is the game that cost them the playoffs? of what about getting blown-out at home by the Senators or a number of Saturday afternoon losses at home? What about 10 straight winless games at home? (what kind of playoff-worthy team has a season where they go 10 straight games at home without a win?)
the overall point is showing themselves and the rest of the league that what happened to savard will not be tolerated is always more important that the potential for a point. there are way too many games this season where the players appeared to not care about the points to suddenly care about it at a time when your best player is unconscious.
(furthermore, to see Bergeron casually chattin with Crosby while Lucic was more interested in gathering Savrad's gloves/stick is just not the image of team upset with what just happened. they then had 6 minutes of time before the next drop-of-puck to have someone review the replay- so the excuse 'i didn't see it' simply does not apply)
i realy like Julien but maybe there is a reason he was canned so ubruptly twice... maybe he is really really good at some aspects of coaching but completely ignores other parts...
I'm just looking at this, and I can't believe that s h i t was edited out.
Oh, and dtrain ... c'mon. You're gonna throw they "do they really deserve to be in the playoffs" thing at me? I want them in the playoffs. They've missed April and May enough in my lifetime. Of course they shouldn't have stopped skating in the third period against Montreal. But that's where they were at in that game, and you just kind of go from there.
As far as Bergeron chatting with Crosby... they were on the ice at the moment, and as an alternate captain and captain, they're responsible for finding out what happened at that moment (gathering information from the refs, medical team, etc). And they're national teammates twice over, and Crosby didn't just try to kill Savard. I'm not holding that against anyone. We're fans and we want them to hate each other, but they don't. That's just how it is.
Now should Thornton shatter Cooke's orbital bone on Thursday, that'd be just dandy.

i think if they make the playoffs, it will be a quick exit... that being aid, i would rather have the team i support stand-up for themselves and their teammates and be a quick exit from the playoffs rather than be a team that is a quick exit from the playoffs along with being a bunch of p-words...
surely something will happen thursday night but by then it is all so fake and contived. the B's are almost baited into it by the media and the fans- it should've been more orgaic and immediate, like they really were upset by it.
so i'm watching the B's v Devils... Langenbruner tries to chip and go past Stuart but Stuart is a solid d-man so he takes the body and really lays out the American forward with a crisp body-check... as the puck floats down into the B's zone, hee comes some dude named Penney (i think that was his name) goes right after Stuart... Stuart, being kind of old-school, says 'sure,' and drops his gloves... they have a quick yet spirited fight- no harm done, and skate to the box... hockey 101...
as they are skating to ther box, the brilliant hockey color-commentator Andy Brickley says "thats the sign of a good team right there, they have each others' backs..."
I heard something by Shawn Thornton yesterday that said if he'd been on the ice with Cooke, this wouldn't have been an issue because he would've laid him out. So we're clear, it does upset me that they didn't do anything to him, but considering the situation, I understood where they were coming from.
Interesting note: Have you noticed Brad Marchand getting more minutes lately? He's a pest of the highest order, and he's always playing with an edge. Look for Paille to sit on Thursday in favor of a Marchand-Begin-Thornton line. Actually, the lines, pending Patrice Bergeron's knee, could look like this:
Sturm 16 - Bergeron 37 - Recchi 28
Wheeler 26 - Krecji 46 - Ryder 73
Lucic 17 - Sobotka 60 - Satan 81
Marchand 63 - Begin 27 - Thornton 22
Chara 33 - Seidenberg 44
Stuart 45 - Wideman 6
Hunwick 48 - Boychuck 55
Rask 40 - Thomas 30 (I have no idea who might start)

i think thomas' days this season are numbered and his career as a Bruin might be as well... (chialrelli might regret that contract a bit too...) Tuuka looks good and Thomas just, um, doesn't...
but yeah, i'm done focusing on what wasn't done the other day in pittsburgh.
i do like marchand too and he could play for my club any day...
I AM SICKENED. WHAT THE F U C K WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE?
To quote my friend: "They could've beaten the **** out of them or beaten them on the scoreboard. Instead they pussed out after 3 minutes. Please miss the playoffs, boys. You don't deserve to make it."
Un****ingbelievable.

1.) i do like tim thomas. i like him a lot. he has an amazing story of perserverence and earned his vezina trophy last year. he is just simply not as good as tuuka rask right now and probably won't be anytime soon. chirelli likely outbid himself and only himself when he signed him to that 4 year deal and this deal will really hurt the B's going forward.
2.) what a bunch of gutless pukes. the bruins were outclassed, outplayed, and just simply embarassed...
3.) Julien has to go. Not at the end of the season. Now. I like him and think he is a good coach but not for this team and not right now.
4.) Lucic, Ryder, Wheeler, Wideman, Begin should all donate their game checks to charity because they robbed the Bruins of money last night.
*Steve Begin has yet to have a major penalty on the season. What does he do? What does he provide for the team?
*I hope Lucic's issue are injury related and not that he is settled because of his contract. Like someone said on the radio, it is easy to play his fearless style and fight for every inch of the ice when only making $500,000... it is something else altogether when you make $3.5 million and the moptivation is gone. he has simply not the same guy.
ugh. that sucked. i need to start doing some work or else i would write about this game all day.
