How many goalies have Dennis Wideman playing in front of them? Only two, and he obviously hates one of them...
And while I've started my own tangent, Wideman better hope he never meets me in real life, because I'm ready to murder him. He is the worst Bruin I've ever seen. I've seen bad Bruins (Trent McCleary, Alex Zhamnov, Marty Reasoner, Alexi Kasatonov, Jim Carrey, Paul Coffey, etc.), but holy hell, I've never seen a one-man freak show of buffoonery like Wideman this year. My God. He must be stopped.
If Wideman gets hit by a bus tomorrow, the Bruins will finish with the 5th seed in the East.

wideman is terrible... weird too because he was solid last year- maybe even great... but what the fck? this team just cannot score goals... it is so disappointing... i just watched them pour about 80 shots at Florida's goalie and they were still shut-out...
on a positive note, Krekji and Sobotka are currently their most exciting players- both for different reasons...
Wideman was excellent last year. When he morphed into this garbled mess is beyond me, but he needs to be in the press box. He's an incredible liability. Ryder and Wheeler should probably sit, too, but at least they're just bad. They're not quite the negative presence Wideman is, they're mearly zeros.
Here's who gets an A from me right now: Bergeron, Recchi, Lucic (and thank god for that), Rask and Krecji. I know you love Sobotka, but he's kind of on the cusp of that, with Chara and Seidenberg. Everyone else has issues, to say the least.
And Andy Brickley was unintentionally hilarious after last night's 1-0 loss to Florida: "Well Jack, the Bruins' Achilles heel all year long has been their inability to score goals." Yes. I agree that scoring goals would make winning games a bit easier.

as for grades, off the top of my head no one would get an A- maybe Tuuka but thats it...
their best players have been Bergeron and Krekji so i guess they would get the highest grades- maybe B+... Recchi has done a good job so he can get a B or a B-... Thorton should also get a solid grade...
othr than that, every player has been a disappointment- most of them colossal disappointments...
Here is my list:
Forwards...
Bergeron... B+ Krekji... B+
Recchi... B Thorton... B
Lucic... C Sturm... C Wheeler... C- Ryder... C- Begin C-
i thought Begin would be more of an adjitator but he pretty much does nothing... he is a decent penalty killer but thats it... Lucic has had a year that he may look back upon and credit as an important year for him but he continues to just be another guy out there- granted he has played better lately but it is almost too-little-too-late... injuries hurt him but i'll never forget him as a rookie in the playoffs vs. Montreal- he hit everything- especially Komaserick Wheeler/Ryder both do nothing if they don't produce offensively- they don't play physical, they don't provide anything in terms of grit or character... oddly, Krekji is playng so well lately but his two linemates still do nothing...
Inc. are Sobotka, Satan, Marchment etc. Not much was expected out of those guys so... Again, i like Sobtka because he is good on faceoffs and beause he likes to hit and play antagonistic hockey...
the D has been a train-wreck... Chara is not the same guy. Wideman blows, Sidenberg has been a quality accusition and Boychuck has played great at times...
overall, i miss the Dude to add some comments and the B's just don't have it.
stupid ryan miller and the stupid all-thumbs-bruins team and that friggin' call on dennis wideman was about as bad a call in playoff hockey as i have seen... it took the ref about 25 seconds before he raised his hand...
haha and very true (well, it woulda been true if he could've saved a bad-angle, weak wrister by one sidney crosby but, um, well- i'm over that...)
and now...
yes! friggin' Bruins-well done... michael ryder and johnny boychuck and my man vladimir sobotka all played very well and an extremely undermanned Bruins team finally looks alive (someone please check the pulse of #17 Lucic, Milan...)
another great game, two Adams Division foes just battling... after every whistle there is a scrum... that stretch in th 3rd period where guys were diving for loose pucks and sliding in front of shots and lining up other guys- right around the point when Ryder threw his 1st body-check of the season- awesome stuff...
rask needs to play better (that friggin' backhander to make it 2-0 was awful...) but it has been an entertaining series thus far...
and again, Sobotka got the team going not just with helping on the 1st goal, but he loves to hit and he follows through every chance he can... it reminds me of the Sobotka from the Canadiens series 2 years ago...
please, Milan, you don't have to be Cam Neely, just don't be Steve Heinze...
