So, yesterday would have been D. Boon's birthday, the guitarist and singer of the Minutemen. I don't know how many people here are into them, but even if you're not familiar, or even that into the whole 1980s punk scene (and if you're not, well, I mean, I'm more than happy to help you there), you need to see We Jam Econo. Even with an unwatched Netflix movie on my desk, I rewatched it this afternoon after work. It's so solid. D. Boon and Mike Watt were pioneers in the most literal sense, and Watt continues to live the dream, all in the name of his friend who was taken all too early.
So, has anyone else seen this bit of awesomeness?
