Is it just me, or is this Friday the ultimate night of concerts??? At least in Boston, it seems to be. I was invited to three decent concerts: Hooray for Earth at Bill's Bar, The Hold Steady at T.T. The Bear's, and Cake in a secret show at MIT's Spring Fling. I believe The Hold Steady are winning out for me: if you don't know them you should, their first album is amazing but they also put out one of the best releases of 2005 -- so check out Almost Killed Me and Separation Sunday. Also, anybody up for coming to see them with Nick and I on Friday night? Let me know if you want in!

Just so everyone knows... The Hold Steady kicked major bee-hind, mine included. Wow, awesome energy, so much so that I didn't mind the sweaty 19-year-olds on acid slamming into me.
Awesome, awesome stuff.
