Ringleader of the Tormentors - Morrissey and Show Your Bones - Yeah Yeah Yeahs. srsly.
Morrissey is still Morrissey, meaning he can say things like "I have explosive kegs between my legs" and you don't snicker (At least not outloud). This record gives me the feeling that maybe...Just maybe...Morrissey got some. And liked it. But not enough to forget that he's Morrissey.
Show Your Bones is a lot more thoughtful than Fever To Tell and I'm presently in the mood for some introspective sounds. It's the softer side of Karen O, which may or may not have been catalyzed by that bowl-cut she's sporting. I'm pretty sure she'll still spit beer in your face if you mouth off though, and that's why I love her so.

He did, actually. In an interview in England this past month (maybe in Mojo? I can't remember) he said that he was no longer celibate and that he was living with "someone."
So, by all accounts, he's getting some regularly, but is still able to keep it all in a moody perspective. And for this we thank him.

You know, I've never bought into the whole Yeah Yeah Yeahs thing. Convert me. Why do you like them? They always seem whiny to me. And like they're trying a little too hard. I keep wanting to shake them and tell them "we get it, you're indie, and not really happy about the current state of affairs."

I would argue that you could probably say this about just any indie band out there hahaha.
I can't really put a finger on why I am so fond of them. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I can picture myself hanging out with Karen O. She's pretty quiet in her normal life and then when she is on stage, she's leaping around in spandex and spitting beer on people. I like the honesty in her voice; you can tell that she has clearly experienced what it is she's singing about.
I donno, I'm not good at conversions. Listen for Blake, he'll let you in on some serious ****.
